What is MTN Xtra Cash?
MTN Xtra Cash is a new value added service that allows MTN Customers to borrow or request for Cash in form of a short term loan from MTN to pay back after a period of one month through a given USSD code.
How Do I Request or Borrow Money From MTN Through Xtra Cash?
In order to request for the Xtra Cash from MTN, you Will need to dial the USSD code *606#. After that, you Will be taken to the page where you the list of the services, then select Xtra Cash and follow the next instructions that follows. If you are eligible for the service, MTN will credit your Diamond Yellow Account with the amount requested. See photo below
How Do I Get The Money?
After you applied and eligible for the service, MTN will credit your Diamond Yellow Account immediately. You can now transfer the money from your Diamond Yellow Account to your bank account.
I Do Not Have Diamond Yellow Account, How Do I Open One?
Diamond Yellow Account is simple and easy to open. To open the account, dial *710# and follow the instructions that follows.
How Much Can I Borrow and What Is The Interest Rate?
For now MTN only allows its eligible customers to borrow amount from N5,000 to N10,000 at a simple interest rate of 15% for the period of 30 days.
