THE SUG President Meets The VC For A Crucial Meeting

The SUG President of Ebonyi State University Comr. Ogbu Emmanuel with his EXCOS visited Elder, Prof. Chigozie Ogbu who is the Vice Chancellor Of the university to discuss the affairs of students. The meeting started at 2:12 pm, after which the arrival of the VC was honored with a standing ovation.

In attendance was the school registrar, sub-deans of different faculties and other principal officers of the school.

Some crucial matters were discussed which were affecting the students; The VC advised the SUG President, Comr. Ogbu Emmanuel. To make sure that his administration brings about positive change in the students unionism.

He also charged the SUG President to make sure that he joins the crusade with the school management, and make sure that cultism within the school is at zero level. He also advised the SUG President to take the message to the students, that there’s no room for lazy students who’ll always believe that there’s a short cut to success, and that the school management is out to fight examination malpractices.

He also assured the SUG President, that he’s always there for his administration, regarding that he’s up for selfless services.

A plea was made by the SUG President and his EXCOS, in connection to the reaction from the Dean faculty of Social science and humanities. That student’s identity card has been raising a serious alarm for the provision of student’s identity card, which the VC gave a node to.

This could be an encouraging step and a good step to the government led by Comrade Ogbu Emmanuel which might lead to a more unified and progressive relationship between the Students and the management of the school.

Meanwhile, some students have seen this administration as a family business, where the VC of the school is related to the present SUG president and have ruled out the possibility of this present administration to be better than the others.
