Imo State University Increases School Fees and Textbooks for Prospective Students
The Office of the Registrar at Imo State University has announced that there has been an increase in school fees and textbooks for all prospective courses in the university. This change comes as a result of the university's departure from the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), an academic body. The new fees and textbooks apply to both indigenes and non-indigenes of the university.
According to the press release, the new fees for indigenes are N65,000.00, up from its initial N30,000.00. Meanwhile, non-indigenes will have to pay N190,300.00, up from N150,300.00, as ancillary fees and new payments. This new fee structure will take effect from the 2022/2023 academic session.
The Registrar of the university has warned that students who do not pay their fees will not be allowed to sit for their respective exams. All students are advised to visit the Imo State University student Micro-Finance bank to clear up any debts before the forthcoming exams. Payments should be paid on or before the exams take place.
