NDLEA Begins 2023 Recruitment Exercise: No Application Fees Required


The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has announced the commencement of its 2023 recruitment exercise. In a statement released by the agency, it invites suitably qualified Nigerians to apply for enlistment into the agency.

According to the statement, the online application portal will be open for four weeks from Sunday, March 12th to Saturday, April 8th, 2023. Interested applicants are to log on to the NDLEA online recruitment portal at www.ndlea.gov.ng to complete the application.


The recruitment exercise is divided into three categories: Superintendent Cadre (General Duties or Specialists), Narcotic Agent Cadre, and Narcotic Assistant Cadre. Applicants must possess the required qualifications for each category.


Applicants for Superintendent Cadre must have at least a first degree or HND in any discipline from a recognized institution of learning, while applicants for Narcotic Agent Cadre and Narcotic Assistant Cadre must possess at least 5 credits in SSCE/GCE/NABTEB including English and Mathematics.


All applicants must be of Nigerian origin by birth and possess a National Identity Number (NIN). They must also be medically fit and must produce a certificate of medical fitness from a government hospital.


Applicant's height must not be less than 1.65 meters for males and 1.60 meters for females. Applicants must not be less than 20 years or more than 35 years of age for the first category while the age limit for the second and third categories is 30 years and not less than 18 years at the point of entry.


It is important to note that any certificate or qualification not declared or tendered and accepted at the time of recruitment cannot be presented subsequently for career progression in the agency.


The agency also warned that multiple applications would lead to disqualification, and only shortlisted applicants shall be invited for further examination and interview.


Applicants are advised to use their personal email addresses and phone numbers when submitting their applications online. Successful candidates will be required to fill out further vetting forms and will be subjected to random illicit drug use tests throughout their service in the agency.


The closing date for all applications is Saturday, April 8th, 2023. Applicants must print out their online-generated photo slip on completion and download referee forms to be completed by two persons of reputable standing in the society, as stipulated on the form when coming for the screening/interview.

This recruitment exercise is free of charge, and applicants are advised to be cautious of fraudsters who may request payment for recruitment.
