The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has announced the extension of the application deadline for its recruitment exercise by one week. This was made known in a statement released by the Director of Media and Advocacy at the NDLEA Headquarters in Abuja, Femi Babafemi.
According to the publication made on their Facebook page, the extension was approved by the Chairman/Chief Executive of the agency, Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Retd). The move is aimed at giving applicants who are experiencing challenges submitting their applications an opportunity to complete the process.
The NDLEA opened its recruitment portal on March 12th and was initially scheduled to close on April 8th. However, with the extension, the portal will now remain open until midnight on April 17th. This will give interested applicants who have not completed their application process, as well as those who are yet to sign up, ample time to do so.
The NDLEA is responsible for the control and suppression of the abuse, trafficking, and manufacture of illicit drugs in Nigeria. The recruitment exercise is part of the agency's efforts to strengthen its workforce and improve its operations. Interested applicants are advised to take advantage of the extension and ensure that they complete their applications before the new deadline.
