The Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) is a Nigerian government agency responsible for promoting road safety and reducing road traffic accidents in Nigeria. The agency was established in 1988 and operates under the Federal Ministry of Transportation.
The primary functions of the FRSC include ensuring the safety of highways and reducing the rate of road traffic accidents, educating drivers, passengers, and other road users on proper safety measures, enforcing road traffic regulations, and conducting research on road safety.
The FRSC also issues driver's licenses and vehicle number plates, and it has the authority to prosecute traffic offenders. The agency operates across Nigeria, with headquarters in Abuja and zonal and sector commands in different states.

MI (Marshal Inspectorate) Cadre

Job Description:
The MI (Marshal Inspectorate) Cadre is a position within the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Nigeria. It is a mid-level position that requires a minimum of a National Diploma or its equivalent.
Responsibilities:
Road Safety Management: The MI Cadre is responsible for managing road safety operations in Nigeria. This includes ensuring the safety of road users, enforcing road traffic regulations, and reducing the number of road traffic accidents.
Inspection: The MI Cadre is responsible for inspecting vehicles and ensuring that they meet the required safety standards. They also inspect drivers' licenses, roadworthiness certificates, and other documents to ensure that they are valid.
Rescue Operations: The MI Cadre is trained to provide first aid and emergency rescue operations to accident victims. They are often the first responders at the scene of a road traffic accident and play a critical role in saving lives.
Public Education: The MI Cadre is also responsible for educating the public on road safety measures, including the proper use of seat belts, speed limits, and other road safety rules.
Prosecution: The MI Cadre is authorized to prosecute traffic offenders and ensure that they are held accountable for their actions. They work closely with the legal department of the FRSC to ensure that traffic offenders are prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
Data Management: The MI Cadre is responsible for collecting and managing data on road accidents, traffic flow, and other road safety-related information. They use this data to improve road safety management and develop road safety policies.

a. Marshal Inspector I
Qualifications
Candidates must possess the following:
Double Qualifications RN & RM, Accident & Emergency Nurses, Pediatric Nurses, Anesthetic Nurses, Orthopedic Nurses, Radiographers from recognized institutions
b. Marshal Inspector II
Qualifications
Candidates must possess the following:
i. Nigerian Certificate of Education (NCE) in relevant disciplines.
ii. Registered Nurse/Midwife (RN/RM).
iii. Statement of Result not beyond 5years.
c. Marshal Inspector III
Qualifications
Applicants must possess the following from recognized Institutions:
i. National Diploma (ND)
ii. Senior Community Health Extension Workers Certificate (CHEW),
iii. Medical Laboratory Technicians
iv. Pharmacy Technicians
v. Dental Technicians
